If the truth be known, I am an omnivore, especially when it comes to fantastic flavors. I love greens, and dark green salads are a favorite, especially when grilled chicken is involved! However, one should really be cautious when it comes to eating raw leafy greens. A new study by the CDC shows that,
“1 in 5 illnesses were linked to leafy green vegetables—more than any other type of food.“
When meats are cooked to the appropriately safe minimum temperatures, harmful microbes are essentially eliminated. Not so when it comes to raw leafy greens. This seems like a clear case for the carnivore!
